Recently I helped a friend who had to take her car to the shop. The mechanic was less than pleased with the fact that my friend didn't know any of the warning signs that her car needed to be recalibrated, and not-so-subtly reminded her that paying attention to the signs could have saved her a lot of time and hassle.
