Meet the MOST underutilized tool for strengthening your marketing messagingā€¦.

business development

Nothing moves until you sell something.

As a business owner, being able to SELL  – not only to your products and services, but also your company's values, branding, and experiences – is extremely important.

Think there’s room for improvement in your sales messages? Try this exercise today…

Take some time to revisit your elevator pitch.

An elevator pitch is basically a thirty-second succinct description of what exactly you do or what you sell.

This thirty second summary is the foundation of your marketing – the simplest way to gain the interest of your audience, and potentially, solidify your foothold in your industry.

Sounds easy enough, right?

Actually, it’s surprisingly difficult to do well – especially for business owners.

Why?

For one, it's very easy for entrepreneurs to spend all their time talking about the ins and outs of their product or service.

After all, your business is your baby! No one knows it like you do...

But that’s not the point of an elevator pitch. Your goal is to frame how those services benefit the customer more effectively than the competition can.

Master that, and you’ve got something special on your hands.

Here’s a suggestion. Before writing your pitch, ask yourself the following questions:

  • What is the simplest way to explain what we do here?
  • What unique value do we bring to the table?
  • What’s my unique sales proposition?
  • What makes our story better than the next guy’s?
